The original LexPD index: both streams, instant download.
These indices are designed for use with the June 2026, November 2026, and February/March 2027 Barrister and Solicitor examinations. Created by a hand-selected group of students under the supervision of two Ontario lawyers, these materials represent thousands of hours of meticulous work.
A note on accuracy and expectations
This index is a massive undertaking containing approximately 42,500 terms. While we pride ourselves on quality, the sheer scale of this project means that errors are inevitable.
- Reality of scale: even with a high accuracy rate, a small margin of error of 4 to 5% results in roughly 1,700 to 2,100 potential errors across the thousands of pages.
- Our policy: if you require a 100% error-free index, do not purchase this product.
- Refunds: due to the digital nature of this product, we do not issue refunds.
By purchasing, you acknowledge that you understand the risks of using third-party study aids. It remains your responsibility to know the Law Society materials well enough to navigate the exam effectively.
What's new for 2026-2027
Our team of students have scoured the latest LSO materials to remove obsolete terms and incorporate new sections. We maintain a small, elite group of contributors to ensure a consistent indexing style, rather than using hundreds of unvetted volunteers.
The package includes indices for:
- Professional Responsibility
- Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Family Law, Public Law
- Business Law, Estate Planning, Real Estate
- Appendices: Rules of Professional Conduct and the LSO by-laws
What you receive
- Format: digital PDF, inside a ZIP file. We do not provide editable working files for you to make your own updates.
- Length: approximately 1,077 pages.
- Delivery: a unique download link.
Reading the page markers
Each entry carries the letter A or B. A is the left-hand column of the LSO materials and B is the right-hand column.
The Professional Responsibility index is nearly identical for the Barrister and Solicitor materials except that the pages diverge from chapter 11 onward, so it carries a column for each. You will need to print that index twice.
The by-laws and rules of professional conduct are identical in both sets of materials but appear on different pages, so those indices carry a Barrister column and a Solicitor column, marked B and S. The rules of professional conduct index also uses T, M and B for the top, middle or bottom of the page.
Printing
Each letter of the index begins on an odd page number. Blank pages have been inserted deliberately so that every letter starts on a right-hand page. Students who buy A to Z tabs can then print single-sided or double-sided and the tabs will still line up.
Accessing your files

Fine print
A lot of work has gone into ensuring that the indices are accurate. However, because of the enormous project and the number of people working on them, it is impossible to catch every single error. It is your responsibility to know the material well enough to navigate both through your indices and the exam materials. By purchasing the indices, you agree that you understand the risks involved in using materials prepared by others and Lex Professional Development Group Inc. will not be held liable for those errors. If you do find errors in the work, please email corrections@lexpd.ca so we can update the materials for other students.
The indices are sold on the condition that they are not to be shared or distributed in any form or fashion. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions page for more details. You are purchasing a licence to use the indices for your own personal use only. Prices are subject to change without notice.
